The first drawing came from a recent and ongoing problem in the NYC’s cultural sector, where the DCLA (New York City Department of Cultural Affairs) had delayed, considerably, the announcement of funding for CDF arts organizations.
People where waiting for official letters that would simply not arrive.
That was the inspiration for this doodle. How does an ED feel, waiting for that letter, and then facing their team?
That’s also when I started thinking about the name of the project.
